Networx identifies up to 3 active, licensed contractors in their network who serve your area and your job type. Not every area has 3 available for every job; in some cases you may hear from fewer.
Contractors contact you
They reach out by phone or email, typically within a few hours. They'll ask follow-up questions and schedule an in-person visit to give you a real quote, not a range.
You compare and decide
No obligation to hire anyone. Most homeowners collect all their quotes, compare pricing and approach, then make a decision. You're in control of the process from here.
Who actually contacts you
The contractors in the Networx network are licensed and insured roofing businesses operating in your area. Networx vets contractors before admitting them and removes those that generate complaints or consistently fail to follow up with homeowners. They're not door-knockers or storm chasers working a post-disaster circuit.
That said, these are independent businesses, not employees of FairRoofQuote or Networx. Their quality, pricing, and responsiveness vary from one to another. This is exactly why getting more than one quote matters. A contractor who comes in significantly lower or higher than the others is worth asking about before you make a decision. Outliers in either direction usually have a reason.
When a contractor contacts you, they know your name, contact details, address, and the type of work you described in the form. They do not see what other contractors are quoting you, so each quote comes without that influence.
A note on coverage: Networx's contractor network is broad but not universal. Rural areas, less common job types, and regions with fewer active roofing businesses may return fewer than 3 matches. If you only hear from one contractor, getting an additional quote directly from a local business is a reasonable next step before making a decision.
What we do and don't do
FairRoofQuote is a lead generation site. We earn a referral fee from Networx when a homeowner submits a qualifying quote request through this site. That fee comes from Networx, not from you, and it has no effect on what contractors charge for their work. We have no financial relationship with any individual contractor and no stake in which contractor you choose or whether you hire anyone at all.
We don't manage the relationship between you and the contractors after the match is made. We don't mediate disputes, don't receive updates on whether work gets done, and have no visibility into what quotes the contractors send you. Our job ends at the connection. What happens after that is between you and them.

All contacts typically happen within 24 hours, though this varies by area and contractor availability. Contractors may reach out by phone, text, or email depending on their preferences and what you indicated in the form. Some will call first; others will text or email and wait for you to respond before calling.
You may also receive a follow-up from Networx themselves, usually to confirm your request was received or to check in on whether you've been contacted. This is a normal part of their process.
If you haven't heard from anyone after 24 hours, the most likely explanation is that the network doesn't currently have active contractors in your specific area for your job type. It's not a sign that something went wrong with your submission. In that case, searching for licensed local contractors directly and reaching out for quotes is the right next step.
On phone calls: contractors will typically call the number you provided. If you'd prefer to be contacted by email or text first, note that in the project description field when you fill out the form. There's no guarantee every contractor will honour that preference, but most will if it's clearly stated.
